TE CONNECTIVITY X ENGINEERING EXPLAINED X ANDRETTI TECHNOLOGIES

When you think about influencers - fashion, food, sports and entertainment in the B2C space are usually first to come to mind.  With 72 percent of people looking for recommendations and relevant content from industry peers in B2B segments, we looked to find an influencer who could help us increase brand awareness and generate leads:  Introducing Jason Fenske, creator of the YouTube channel, Engineering Explained - focused on the technology behind cars.  

Leveraging our involvement in Formula E with over 100 products in the Andretti Formula E car, Jason filmed three videos at Andretti Technologies.  In conjunction with Engineering Explained, we launched TE's first B2B sweepstakes to increase lead generation.  Two winners and a guest won the engineering experience of a lifetime to Andretti Autosport to see the technology powering Andretti's cars plus a private lunch with team owner and race car champion Michael Andretti.  On YouTube alone, the Engineering Explained videos garnered 660,000 views - totaling 616 days of watch time and an average "thumbs up" rating of 98%.  The sweepstakes generated thousands of new contacts and saw a 20% landing page to entrant conversion rate, five times TE's benchmark.  Our work with B2B influencers was featured in the Journal of Brand Strategy.
